Transform Your Life in 2025: Mastering Conscious Goal Setting
Integrating Meditation, Visualization, Action, and Reflection for Lasting Success
Welcome back and hope you had a good start to the new year. Look forward to working with you in 2025, helping you achieve the three goals set at the end of last year.
In the final article last year, we explored the concept of - “As the Mind, As the Action” - and encouraged you to set three goals for 2025.
We also introduced how our MinD operates at various levels of unaware consciousness. 95% of time we subconsciously act at one of these levels depending on our previous experiences, impressions and beliefs that have been built over time.
Reflect on this: Where do you want to operate in 2025? Which level of consciousness aligns with your goal from the below image?
Take some time to review the goals you’ve set and identify how these align with higher levels of consciousness. This process of becoming aware of your thoughts consciously, can only done by you through constant self-reflection on the actions.
An example of goal alignment to higher powerful energy levels:
For example, one of my own personal goals in 2025 is to learn hatha yoga. The purpose of this goal is to become more aware and conscious of my surroundings and the present moment by spending 20-30 minutes on myself and understanding my inner self and to operate at these higher levels of consciousness.
As they say a healthy body leads to a healthy MinD.
When I first set this goal, I hadn’t considered the specifics of how, what, where, when I would incorporate hatha yoga into my life. The first step towards setting any goal is being “courageous” - one of the higher energy levels we should strive to be operating at throughout our life. Courage is the first step towards higher level of consciousness, where we don’t act forcefully in fear.
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." – Nelson Mandela
Aligning Your Goals with Higher Consciousness:
For example, when setting goals consider operating at these higher energy levels as shown in the first image above. Ask yourself these questions about the goal itself, whilst aligning with higher energy levels:
Courageous - being courageous to set a goal that is outside your comfort zone and will enable you to complete that deep inner desire. This first step helps set aside the fear of grief, apathy, failure, self doubt, guilt and shame and the endless negative emotions that arise.
Neutrality - being neutral by undertaking the strategic decision matrix utilising game theory to why this goal will help you along your journey in life with an unbiased lens. Neutrality refers to making a decision that isn’t aligned with pride, ego or self-accolade. It's about making the right decision, even if it is a hard one.
Willingness - will this goal you have set give you the energy to wake up out of that bed each day with same consistency day by day. Does the desire of the goal set have clear clarity, commitment and consistent will and it meaningful that it aligns with the higher levels of consciousness.
Acceptance - are you willing to accept yourself that this goal is for yourself only. Accepting the fact that there will be hard times and good times, whilst not letting anger getting the better of you.
Reason - how deep is the reason that any uncomfortable situations and you will remember why this aligns with your inner values.
Love - are you forcing yourself on this goal or are you lovingly doing the task at hand. Remember force is opposite to love. When undertaking the various tasks across the journey towards the goal with love, the discipline that follows naturally becomes easier with less lethargy and procrastination.
Joy - ask yourself what joy will look like during the journey whilst working towards the goal. Joy is typically only achieved in momentary moments when success is achieved. Though the goal that aligns with these higher energy level of consciousness will provide consistent joy.
Peace - all goals are set to completed. What does peace look like at the end. Peace can come in many forms. It may be to continue doing the above consistently over time until the end of time.
The Four Small Steps for Walking Towards a Goal
All of the above can be very simple to do, and a goal can be achieved with four simple steps:
Meditation: spend 15-20 minutes daily aligning mindfully/thoughtfully the goal with the above higher levels of consciousness, ask yourself the above questions.
Visualisation: spend 15-20 minutes to create 3-5 small visual steps or tasks or to do list that are required to be completed over next week.
Action: go complete these 3-5 tasks. If there is moment of distraction / hesitation / procrastination or anything that stops you taking action, start focusing higher level of consciousness that you have doing during meditation on a daily basis.
Reflection: last but not least, one of the most important tasks is to reflect or journal on these steps as tick them of the to do list. Ask yourself simple questions: how they went, is there room improvement or efficiency, were they key learnings etc.
A Simple Summary to the MinDvesting Philosophy:
Now its rinse and repeat these four small steps for remainder of time. It’s a simple method, though to consistently do it is one of the hardest things to achieve. Remember you are accountable and its simple as aligning the purpose of the goal with the higher level of consciousness that provides clarity via meditation, consistency via visualisation, commitment via action and consciousness via reflection. Reflecting consciously whilst meditating, visualising and taking action will provide insights that will increase the likelihood of goal attainment.
"Consciousness is the ability to be present in your life in every moment without judgment of yourself or anyone else." – Gary Douglas
Remember the limiting factor in all of the above is only the MinD. As the MinD, As the Action.
